this looks great, and pretty easy too, i cant wait to try it. i try to avoid frying though, if (very) lightly oiled, could the rolls be baked in an oven?

  Not as easy as I thought, I tried several different methods (nonstick no oil, non stick w oil, plain fry pan, plain fry pan w oil) no matter what I did, I couldn't get the batter to come off of the pan. Ended up just eating the spring filling with a side if French fries admittedly it was pretty good.
